Deployment Specialist
Deployment specialists act as the gatekeepers for changes to production, to ensure that the production environment stays stable through additions and updates.
For software and systems updates, the deployment specialist works with the project team to create a checklist for the steps of the upgrade or rollout, and leads meetings to determine rollout responsibilities and order of these actions. An essential part is planning for issues that may arise by creating a rollback plan to revert changes if needed. The deployment specialist coordinates closely with the developer and analyst to identify any other systems that may be impacted by the new or updated product.
