Orientation: For New Staff

Welcome to AITS! You're encouraged to learn more about our SDLC, which has been tuned to reflect our unique blend of tasks and job definitions. It's continually evolving, but this website and our MS Teams resources can help you follow our process.

#1Familiarize yourself with MS Teams and this website

Most of your project work will be documented in MS Teams, and it is also home to examples and templates. In addition, this website provides additional detail on deliverables, our overall process, and our unique roles/job descriptions.

#2We follow a user-centered design process

We aim to create products that resonate with and help end users, as well as serve our clients. This means that we engage actual users in the design process, to hear first-hand their priorities and reactions. We also strive to prototype and test early, to discover what works best and to keep us moving in the correct direction.

#3Preparing for successful collaboration

Projects work best when the core team works closely together, without silo-ing or approaching work as an assembly line. In addition, we encourage roles to be brought in early so their suggestions can be included early in the design stage. Familiarize yourself with the various roles and process stages to know who might be need to contribute.
